Spring Is Springing Y'all

Every gardener gets a little "Antsy" around February and March. They pull out their seed packets and seed catalogs to look for "new items" to grow. Those cold and early evening darkening hours make us sad. Why? You may ask. Well, it seems as though time FLIES during the winter months. As soon as we get up, do a few house chores, many which have been put off during the S7ummer and Fall months,it is time to retire to bed once again. Oh well. During the Winter months we have put our garden plans on paper and computer, sought and often bought new garden tools and equipment (many remain boxed) and we are just waiting for that one day of sunshine and warmth. That day when we can venture back to our "safe place" where we are welcomed by the soil and we feel the gratitude for our return. To our piece of "Mother Earth." When we get there we may find a few remnants of our past still stuck in the soil. Stuck in our past life of togetherness. Sometimes, those remnants are usable for this next planting season that we are eagerly awaiting. Then, we feel the air on our faces and smell the scents of "Our Mother Earth's" presence and we are ALIVE! We once again will ask the soil to present us with the GREATEST of its gifts. The gift of FRUITION. That gift that only they possess to enable a seed to become that which it was intended to be. It is at this moment when we realize how much we have to do in order to receive the Best Bounty EVER! So, we complete the task for that day and await another day and then another, until at last! Every day can be spent outside with Our Mother Earth as she welcomes our presence and participation in helping her display the glorious array of her beauty. So,now we begin to engage in the dance of nature. Some begin this dance in a Greenhouse, a Shed, a Garage, a Field, or a PolyTunnel by listening to Garden Podcasts, some Favorite Tune or Singing along with the Song that Nature presents. The point of it simply this...Are you with us? Even if you can only put a small potted plant on a windowsill, you can help a plant friend grow into "The Best" it can be! Join the Gardeners' of the World as we Dance the Dance of "The Soil, The Seed, Mother Earth and Man." Graciously Yours, Lady Marisha of Marishavilla
