Hello everyone! This is a new year and I have much to share. Last year I traveled A LOT and discovered some important dietary lifestyles. While in Europe I discovered the day does not begin with MEAT! Also, an egg may be difficult to find. Their diet begins with fruit, cheese, yogurts, pastries, juice, coffee or tea. A BIGGG difference from an American breakfast. Meat is known to slow the digestive system down and therefore can slow down the metabolism rate in our bodies. This can attribute to Obesity, Constipation, and other ailments in the human body.
We have been told Carbohydrates are not good for us but their daily diet consists of, breads, pastas and pastries. This is because their grain sources are more natural and derived from under-processed refinery sources. In other words most of the flour used for baking still contain many of the nutrients necessary for good digestion. The baked goods are lighter, fluffier and oh so delectable. Um, um, good.
We can order flour from France and chocolate from Belgium to recreate those flavors from the old world but this can be EXPENSIVE. Lots of chefs do this and their menus and meals reflect it.
This year I will give some alternatives for creating these dishes that are a wee bit less costly. First will be Homemade 🍞. It usually contains 5 ingredients, but if you read the label on an American loaf there a greater than 10! Why, I ask? One word, PRESERVATIVES.
So, menu planning will be our focus. Next, saving $$$. Then losing body fats and lastly living healthier lifestyles.
So, stay focused and I will be back Tomorrow. Ciau
